About this event

Have you wondered whether you needed to submit your work with the Copyright Office in order for it to be considered copyright protected?

Do you have questions determining whether your work is your own or an institution’s?

At the end of the session, attendees will be able to:

1. Summarize the three criteria used to determine whether an image is automatically protected

2. Paraphrase a creator’s economic rights

3. Differentiate between works-made-for-hire and your own works

Georgetown University affiliated students, faculty, and staff are welcome. Registration and participation require a georgetown.edu, gunet.georgetown.edu, or medstar.net email address. The physical class size is limited to 25 students (if campus reopens by workshop date). Remote access via Zoom information will be provided in registration confirmation emails.
